Solar Energy Is Barely Consumed In America

With so much hype and federal tax subsidies used on solar energy, you would figure there is an explosion of usage. Unfortunately, that is not the case.

During 2016, solar energy provided less than 1% of U.S. energy consumption. The precise figure is 0.6%. Contrary to the claims of many reporters and pundits, solar is significantly more expensive than most energy technologies, and this limits its production in the U.S. and throughout the world.
