The main event of the NFL football season is right around the corner as Super Bowl 50 will pit the Denver Broncos vs. the Carolina Panthers.

America loves putting some bets on the Super Bowl. According to professional sports handicapper Brad Powers of BradPowersSports.com (I personally subscribe to Brad), here is how much Americans will throw down on the game:

According to an estimate released by the American Gaming Association, Americans will bet $4.2 billion on Super Bowl 50!

That's an 8 percent increase over last year. Nearly 97 percent of those bets will be wagered illegally.
