Eminem Shows How Awful Detroit’s Real Estate Market Is

Rapper Eminem is not hurting for money. But his current financial endeavor out of Detroit’s housing market will cost him a few million dollars.

His mansion is for sale at a price listing 60% less than what he paid for it.

Eminem has put his sprawling Michigan mansion up for sale for $2 million – less than half of what he bought it for 14 years ago.

It seems the 44-year-old rapper’s star power wasn’t enough to beat Detroit’s falling house values, as he has listed the six-acre home for $1.9 million – despite originally buying it for $4.8 million.

The Stan singer has also enjoyed plenty of space in the compound, which boasts s 17,500 square feet of living space spread across 22 rooms. And considering his high-profile, the compound also offers a guard house outside the main property.

Mark Marangon of Coldwell Banker Weir Manuel-Bir holds the listing, which describes the house as a ‘spectacular gated estate on nearly 6 acres with guard house’. ‘This private sanctuary has over 17,000 square feet (1570 square metres) of living space. Every bedroom is a suite!
