Food Stamp Usage in Indiana Drops by 18%

New rules and regulations along with a better employment picture has helped Indiana shrink their food stamp usage.

Food stamp use peaked in Indiana at about 930,000 Hoosiers in August 2013, nearly doubling from rates prior to the Great Recession in 2008. Since then, use has been steadily decreasing, with about 757,000 Indiana residents still on food stamps as of January.
