How Many 911 Calls Are Made Yearly?

Dialing “911” can save your life but it also is one of the unappreciated safety features of American society.

The job can be hard and takes almost two years of job training for the 911 operator to become proficient.

Economically, consumers pay $2.6 Billion in 911 fees yearly on their wireless bills. Unfortunately, hundreds of millions of that fund never reaches the 911 system.

I read up on the profession recently and figured I’d share this 911 call stat:

It is estimated that there are about 240 million calls made to 911 in the United States each year, according to the National Emergency Number Association.
