The job can be hard and takes almost two years of job training for the 911 operator to become proficient.
Economically, consumers pay $2.6 Billion in 911 fees yearly on their wireless bills. Unfortunately, hundreds of millions of that fund never reaches the 911 system.
I read up on the profession recently and figured I’d share this 911 call stat:
It is estimated that there are about 240 million calls made to 911 in the United States each year, according to the National Emergency Number Association.
