How the Woodstock Festival Bands Were Business Morons

The Woodstock Music Festival was one of the greatest music events put together and is still celebrated continously by music lovers to this day.

It was also a turning point for musicians to start thinking financially

about their product. The bands brought in for Woodstock demanded cash and that was it. Even though the festival copyright owners had debt for a decade afterwards related to production of the concert, they have now reaped millions in royalties. Bands today get paid but also have massive control over every aspect of copyright material related to them i.e. video/audio sales of concert shows.
