Student Loan Debt Jumps For Millennials

In a lengthy write up by the NY Times reporting why Millennials

are still living with their parents, I found this section explaining the explosion of student loan debt being taken on. The jump is double digits in the last decade:

During roughly the same period, the share of renters in that same age group with student loan debt jumped to 41 percent in 2013 from 30 percent in 2004, with the average amount of debt up 50 percent, to $30,700, the Harvard report said.
