In his Wednesday press conference dealing with coronavirus, Indiana Governor Holcomb released some stats that went unreported. Many in the national and Indiana media have pounded the premise “No one is wearing a mask” and the virus is spreading because of selfish Hoosiers.
Governor Holcomb’s own questionable enforcement executive orders have released some data that proves otherwise.
Governor Holcomb has several agencies that does random site inspections throughout the state to see if mask compliance is being followed. One such agency is the state’s Alcohol and Tobacco Commission. Since October 19, they visited over 1569 alcohol sites (bars/liquor stores/restaurants). A total of 47 were not in compliance with employees or public not wearing masks. That means 96.9% of businesses were in compliance.
